Capitation is a Gentell wound care program that covers wound care costs for residents for the first 100 days in a facility, which are not covered by Medicare Part BCap.
ESTABLISHING A FACILITY
To participate in the Gentell Capitation Program, a facility must sign up with Gentell and pay a monthly fee per resident. To set up capitation within Fastcare, go to the Facility and tap the Edit Facility button. Scroll down to the Woundcare Capitation contract section, and complete these fields according to the contract. When finished, scroll down and tap the green Update button.
CHECKING A FACILITY FOR WOUND CAPITATION CONTRACT
To see whether or not a facility is covered by a wound capitation contract, go to the Current Facility or Facility Details page and scroll down.
