Capitation is a wound care program offered by some wound care providers that covers wound care costs for residents for the first 100 days in a facility, which are not covered by the Medicare Part B Cap.
ESTABLISHING A FACILITY
To participate in a Capitation Program, a facility must sign up with the wound care provider and pay a monthly fee per resident. To set up capitation within Fastcare, go to the Facility and tap the Edit Facility button. Scroll down to the Wound Care Capitation contract section, and complete these fields according to the contract. When finished, scroll down and tap the green Update button.
CHECKING A FACILITY FOR WOUND CAPITATION CONTRACT
To see whether or not a facility is covered by a wound capitation contract, go to the Current Facility or Facility Details page and scroll down.
